2013Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park is just down the road from us (well relatively speaking anyway), yet its taken us two years to visit. Including the game management area around the park, it’s twice the size of Kruger, but no where near as well managed. Over the years it has been ravaged by poaching and by all accounts the whole park is burnt every year. It does however seem like things have started looking up in the last year or so. Either way, it is still beautiful bushveld and we had a small piece of it all to ourselves for four days while staying at Leopard Lodge.
A lifer for me, side striped jackal.
